I wrote these haiku two days ago for a friend in China. I’m posting them here for Naomi as a response to her last post. I love you like crazy N, and even moreso since I’ve had a peek inside your head in the pages of this blog.

Everyone feels alone at quarter to three in the morning, but you are never alone, Naomi. I promise. Just because you can’t see us doesn’t mean we’re not there.
