Who are The Pontificators?

Monday, March 9th, 2009
The Pontificators are nine women and five men who are drawn from two generations of an extended family group.  All the contributors are related by blood or marriage.  There is an over-40-year span between the age of the oldest and youngest member.  This group includes sisters and brothers; husbands and wives; daughters and sons; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  How the individual contributors are related is part of the mystery and part of the fun.

We are conservative and liberal.  We are Christians, Deists, and Humanists.  As such, there will be no one ideological slant presented on this blog, and you won’t be able to assume that the other contributors agree with the point of view of any particular post.  In fact, our disagreements will probably be part of the content.  To add to the diversity, some of the contributors have told me they will be posting under more than one name, to represent different aspects of their public and private personas.
